Who would benefit the most from removal of higher education tuition?
“The middle class would most benefit from this because they are ones who cannot afford the cost of tuition. Over the years, tuition prices have been increasing. This definitely makes it hard for low-income families to get their children a post-secondary education.”
Is it more important for everyone to be educated or for less people have a better quality of education?
“Well, education will take an individual far in life. We as a country need to enhance and do a better job at encouraging more and more people to pursue a higher education. Currently, the United States has the 9th most educated workforce in the world. We could do a lot better and I think free college is the way to see us go up the rankings.”
Should student fees be optional at SUU?
“No because they help run student clubs and departments. We need student fees because I believe they somehow help better our college experience, whether it is clubs, SUUSA, or even the Leavitt Center. We help run these organizations and I think it should stay that way.”
